Iowa Probate – Ancillary Estate
Ancillary estate proceedings are used for handling the affairs of deceased non-Iowa residents (resident of another state at death) that own property that is located in Iowa. For example, if a Florida resident passes while owning farmland in Iowa, it would be necessary to go through the probate process in Iowa in order to establish clear title to that farmland.
We routinely assist families with handling ancillary estate proceedings throughout the state of Iowa.
