Ms. Kain was born in Des Moines, Iowa. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in 2000 and graduated from Drake University Law School in 2003. While in law school Ms. Kain successfully completed the Criminal Defense and Advanced Criminal Defense Clinics. She also worked as a Prosecuting Intern with the Dallas County Attorney's Office. Ms. Kain has established her career in private practice providing legal advice and direction for individuals in the areas of:
• Family Law - Pre-marital Agreements, Dissolution of Marriage, Paternity and Child Support Issues, Contempt and Enforcement Proceedings, Adoptions, and Termination of Parental Rights
• Criminal Defense - Ranging from Simple Misdemeanors to Class B Felonies
• Real Estate - Title Opinions, Document Preparation and Closings
• Estate Planning/Probate - Complex and Simple Will Preparation, Trusts, Living Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney for Health Care, Standby Powers of Attorney, Gifting, and Probate
Ms. Kain is a member of the Polk County, State of Iowa and American Bar Associations. She is also a 2007/2008 graduate of Leadership Iowa, which promotes leadership and civic engagement within the state. Additionally, Ms. Kain is active in community affairs, currently serving as a volunteer for Mentor Iowa and is a member of the West Des Moines Rotary Club.
