Jennifer Jaskolka-Brown has practiced with Sullivan & Ward, P.C. since 1999. Jennifer was born in New York City and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a B.S. in Political Science and History in 1995. She graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1999. Jennifer is admitted to practice law in Iowa and Nebraska.
Jennifer’s areas of practice include:
- General litigation with experience in handling both jury and non-jury cases
- Providing employment-based immigration services to a variety of local and national technology, engineering and professional services clientele
- Personal and professional support in all aspects of family law issues including divorce, separation, paternity, custody, support modifications, contempt and enforcement proceedings, property division, premarital agreements and termination of parental rights
Jennifer is admitted to practice in all Iowa state and federal courts, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Nebraska District Court and Nebraska Supreme Court. She is also an experienced appellate attorney having been an attorney of record in numerous cases before the Iowa Supreme Court, Iowa Court of Appeals, 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and Nebraska Appellate Courts.
Jennifer is a member of the Polk County Bar Association and Volunteer Lawyers Project. She is also a member of the Iowa Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, Iowa Trial Lawyers Association and Nebraska Bar Association.
In addition, Jennifer is an officer and board member of Ballet Theatre of Des Moines and RUACH at Temple B’nai Jeshurun. She participated in the 2004-2005 Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute. Jennifer has served as a mock trial judge for junior high, high school and college level mock trial competitions and is active in the Greater Des Moines Partnership Young Professionals Connection. She previously served as a liaison for Iowa Friends of Legal Aid and was involved in the C. Edwin Moore Inns of Court.
